Darcy Doble, Commander - Happy Spring. I hope everyone had a great Easter. We had a successful Corned beef and cabbage dinner. Thank you to all who came to eat and to all of the great volunteers who helped. Check out the changes in the clubroom too!

Glenn Pierce, Gaming Manager - Our Coach Purse Bingo event held on March 2nd was a huge success. We had 250 seats available and sold 249 bingo packets. The place was packed and I received dozens of comments from happy players and of course the winners. I made a run to the Coach outlet store over Easter weekend and we are now looking for the best date for our next event. In the next few days we will have a Coach Purse Raffle up and running with 2 Coach Purses with accessories for our prizes. Check our Facebook page or website for detail later this week.

Michelle Still, Auxiliary President - I have to say that our Movie Night was a lot of fun. I want to thank Halie Johnson, Alysha Fierro and their friends for helping plan and host this event. Rose LaScala picked up some nice door prizes and each young girl there received a door prize. Don’t forget to mark your calendars for our annual Mother’s Day/Membership Banquet, which is May 2nd, social hour at 6:00 PM and dinner at 6:30 PM. You will enjoy hearing from our Department and District Presidents. We will also be exchanging white elephant gifts, so please bring a wrapped item that you don’t use, but may be useful to someone else. Don’t be extravagant. Is there an auxiliary member that has a hard time getting out that you could bring? Our next meeting is 7:30 PM on April 10th. See you there.

Jill Bigley, Director NBALR - North Branch American Legion Riders (NBALR) is a volunteer organization dedicated to Veterans (active, retired or disabled), military families, local area families and worthy benefits with other organizations Our active season is underway with our first event. We will be hosting our 2nd annual Spring Veterans Dinner Fundraiser on Saturday April 7th at the North Branch American Legion post 85. This is a great cause so please join us! We will be tuning up the bikes and dusting off the leathers as our riding season is soon to start. This is the time we look forward to ever year where we can get out and raise money for our veterans thru working the Brat stand at County Market over Mother’s Day weekend, supporting the CSOAF with their Red Bull Ride on June 9th and their Red bull appreciation day on June 24th. We than will have our Christmas in July Ride on July 14th (CIJ). This is a major fundraiser for us so we can support our military families throughout the year. Please come and join us at these events. When you are there stop by and say Hi to us. Also, know that we are always looking for new members. If you’re interested in becoming a Legion Rider, please stop in to one of our meetings which are held on the third Friday of every month except for June – September as this is our busiest months. The ALR strive to Honor our Veterans, families and the community, “All gave some, some gave all”

Julie Solle, Midsummer Ambassadors - Spring is slowly making its debut and with April comes the 2018 Midsummer Ambassador Candidate experience! We're hoping to have a great turn out for the kick off on April 4th and celebrate the 60th year of this program for young women!! Renee Egan will be coordinating the program this year, I wish her much success with it. The Ambassadors recently attend "Royal Sparkle Night with the MN Timberwolves, and had a great time, they volunteered at Access Church for "Glam Jam" with 3 to 7 year old girls, they chose their favorite Vintage snowmobile during Winter Fest and are looking forward to many volunteer activities through April and May. I will continue with the 2017-2018 Ambassadors, Elise, Madison and Michaela through their reign, and will hopefully continue on with one of them to the Aquatennial as a Queen of the Lakes candidate! This has been a wonderful experience for me, as coordinator for the past 11 years. It’s been amazing how our community has supported this program. I’m hoping it continues and the program continues to support the scholarships for the Ambassadors. Thank you American Legion Post 85 for this opportunity and for sponsoring the Midsummer program, it’s been great!! Sending Midsummer love, Julie Solle
