Michelle Still, Auxiliary President - The American Legion Auxiliary is celebrating 100 years of service! Isn't it exciting to be a part of this organization? We have a great legacy of service not self. Thank You! The reasons people give for joining an organization are: the mission of the organization; to have a sense of community; representation; information and education; empowerment; direct services; and, BECAUSE THEY WERE ASKED. Share why the Auxiliary and what we do is important to you and ask ladies you know, or ladies you are acquainted with, to consider being a part of our organization.

We do make a difference!

Glenn Pierce, Adjutant - It’s that time of year when I start compiling the information for the Post Reports. This information helps the State and National offices of the American Legion show the difference our organization can make in our Community, State and Nation. I need your help in getting accurate numbers for the number of units of blood our members have given last year. We held 2 Blood Drives in the Legion Hall that produced 51 units of Blood for the Red Cross. If any member of the Legion Family gave blood in 2018 please email me back with the number of units given so I may include your generous donation in the Post Blood Report. Thank you to all our members that have already responded.

Orville Otterness, Post Service Officer - I Missed last month as I was out of town and out of commission for a bit. I have been informed that the County Service Officer has been having good turn-outs at the meetings he has been having. Those meetings are great opportunities for all veterans to meet, greet, and learn. They are held the third Tuesday of the month at the Legion Hall at 9 a.m. Plan to join him. If you have a reason to contact him other than at those meetings his phone number at his office is 651-213-5680 and his mailing address is 313 N. Main St., Center City, MN 55012.

Keep aware of veterans issues coming up in the Legislature and keep in touch with your legislators regarding those issues. They need to know our concerns.
