Darcy Doble, Commander - Don't forget to thank veterans for serving on Veterans Day, November 11th. I hope everyone has a very happy Thanksgiving as well. Don't eat too much turkey!

Michelle Still, Auxiliary President - Our next meeting is Nov. 14th at 7:30 pm. Please come to the meeting because we will have information to share and programs to discuss. We have planned celebrations to honor our veterans in assisted living. We will have treats and a small program with music for our veterans at Bickford Suite Living (formerly Gracewood) on Nov. 8th at 2:00 pm, and we will be at Ecumen on Nov. 10th at 2:00 pm. They enjoy our company and treats very much. Please come and honor their service.

Jill Bigley, Legion Riders Director - We are the North Branch Legion Riders. We ride for military. We just had our Veterans dinner Saturday October 28th. We would like to thank everyone who came out for the dinner, it was a huge success! As we get into the holiday season, we are now in the process of planning our military Christmas party, where we have already picked 4 local families to help out this Christmas. This is only possible by the money we have raised this year which included two of our major events. The first one was our spring fling in April and the second our Christmas in July ride. We would like to thank everyone for their support in our efforts. If you would like to donate, any donations would be greatly appreciated! Let's make this a year to remember!

An update of our Legion Rider Alex Bigley, he has returned home after being gone for 5 months to Fort Benning in Columbus, Georgia. He is now a 19 Kilo. From all of us, thank you for your service Alex!

Thank you to all of our past and present military for your service. This wouldn't be possible without you. We wish everyone a very happy, relaxing holiday season!

Orv Otterness, Post Service Officer - Some reminders for you – Have you met the new County Veterans Service Officer. His office is in the Court House in Center City. Stop in and introduce yourself.

Every member of the American Legion Family is a member of the American Legion Family Hospital Association. This Association is unique to Minnesota. If you have medical bills you need help with check for the application forms online or give me a call. They are simple to fill out and can bring you some financial aid with bills you might need help getting paid off. This does not include dental or eye care. You must not pay the bill; they do not do reimbursement. Rather, let your medical provider know you are applying for some financial help.

Veterans Day is November 11. Enjoy free meals offered by various restaurants. Stop and visit a fellow veteran who can’t get out.

James Hunt, SAL Commander - Happy Halloween! We have that Novemberrr chill in the air! Thank you Michelle Still and Mary Lewis for your time and effort for the membership drive. Also thanks to Rod Boatman, Charlie Hult, and Tom (Tilly) Linder! SAL members please remember our next meeting 11/21 @6:00. Last meeting before the Tailgate Party on 12/10.
