Midsummer Days 2024

Dear Merchants of the North Branch Area,

The North Branch American Legion Post #85 has been a proud member of the North Branch Business community since 1925. Our non-profit donates thousands of dollars every year to support various projects in our area. We have hosted the North Branch Midsummer Days Celebration for over 98 years. It is our five-day event that includes a carnival, two parades, street dances, free lunch, raffle drawings and bingo, and many free children’s sponsored events.

We cannot achieve an event of this magnitude without the support from our business community. These events bring in thousands of people to our community who spend their time and money at our local businesses. It is also a time for alumni and families to gather and celebrate in our town. This year’s celebration will be held Wednesday, June 19th through Sunday, June 23rd 2024.

We are asking for your help in making this event a huge success by helping sponsor our marching bands, clown clubs, and aerial displays for the annual Sunday parade. Your past contributions have helped make this parade a regional destination for free family fun and entertainment. All parade sponsors will receive recognition in the local papers, our website, on our Facebook page and other community pages.

Individual parade unit sponsors will be provided with a banner showing the sponsor’s name preceding the unit in the parade on Sunday, June 23rd. These performing units vary in cost from $500.00 to $2500.00 and the actual cost will not be known until each unit returns their acceptance letter with the amount they will charge for their participation in our parade.

North Branch Midsummer Days Parade

  • Line up information is NOT available before day of parade.
  • No correspondence will be sent.
  • Go to American Legion (6439 Elm St) at/after 1pm for line-up #.
  • Parade is held rain or shine.
  • Parade line-up is assigned in order entries are received.
  • A General Liability Policy is required for all participating groups.
  • Candy must be thrown to the curb.
  • No water guns or water balloons.
  • No alcohol consumption while riding/ driving in the parade.
  • The Legion incurs larger clean-up fees from the distribution of material or advertising with no monetary value (ie: flyers vs coupons).
    Units distributing this type of non-monetary value material must enter parade at higher entry fee level. Violators will be subject to a fine.
